Kailash Ambwani
President and Chief Executive Officer
Kailash Ambwani is a successful entrepreneur and senior executive with more than 18 years in the consumer and enterprise software and services industries. Prior to joining Actiance, Ambwani was Chief Operating Officer of Genesys Conferencing S.A., the leading global provider of audio, video and web conferencing and collaboration services with 2002 revenues of $210M.

As COO, Ambwani was responsible for all Front Office operations worldwide, including sales, marketing, service, and regional P&L. Before his tenure at Genesys, Ambwani co-founded Astound Incorporated, a leading venture-backed player in the emerging web conferencing and collaboration market, and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until it was acquired by Genesys Conferencing.

Before Astound, Ambwani founded and ran several software companies in the consumer and business productivity arena, including Gold Disk Inc., a leading, venture-backed provider of video editing and multimedia authoring tools for the Windows PC.

Mr. Ambwani is a graduate of McMaster University where he received a Master of Science in Theoretical Astrophysics and a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical Physics, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Tim Conley
Chief Financial Officer
Tim brings extensive strategic and tactical financial management experience to Actiance, gained during more than 25 years as Chief Financial Officer for both private and publicly owned technology companies.

He has provided the financial leadership that resulted in successful initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers, acquisitions and various other financing events.

Prior to joining the company, Conley was the CFO of Tumbleweed Communications (now Axway), which specialized in secure e-mail and file transfer technology for enterprise and government networks.

Previously, he was Vice President of Finance and CFO of Valicert Inc., a technology company specializing in secure Internet communications and identity validation software for file transfer, financial messaging, and business process integration. Valicert was acquired by Tumbleweed in 2003.

Tim is a certified public accountant who, while at Price Waterhouse, worked as an audit manager with technology companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Accounting emphasis, from the University of Wisconsin, Superior.
Sarah Carter
General Manager, Social Business
Graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in business and a specialism in marketing, Sarah’s career began with IBM and then a software developer in Vancouver, Canada.

Returning to the UK, Sarah joined Harrier Group plc - one of the UK’s leading security and storage integrators and ultimately lead both the sales and marketing teams of both divisions.

As a board member, Sarah was an integral member of the team that lead to successful flotation on AIM in 1999, three subsequent acquisitions and the sale of the businesses in 2005.

Sarah has spent four years working with Actiance’s customers and partners throughout Europe and Asia and recently relocated to our headquarters in Belmont, California.

Sarah works with Actiance financial services clients on best practice social media and collaboration strategies in both Europe and the USA and regularly speaks on the topic on both continents.
Matt McLaughlin
Senior Vice President, Sales
Matt is Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Actiance where he is responsible for enterprise sales, channel sales, services and operations.

Prior to Actiance, Matt served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales Operations at Abiquo, a provider of cloud infrastructures.

Before Abiquo, Matt served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at StrongMail. During his tenure, revenue increased by more than 55% year over year and the customer count increased from ~100 to over 575.

Additionally, Matt served in a number of executive sales positions at BEA Systems, including vice president of global accounts. During his seven-year tenure, he managed and grew the sales and marketing efforts of BEA’s largest and most strategic customers. Matt was responsible for setting several sales milestones, including 144% year-over-year license revenue growth.

Additionally, as BEA’s vice president of Asia Pacific, Matt transformed the region into BEA’s most profitable with growth in excess of 300%.
Carol Alexander
Vice President, Marketing
As Vice President, Marketing for Actiance, Carol has responsibility for marketing and demand generation as well as thought leadership and public relations programs.

Carol has over 20 years of enterprise marketing experience in the high-tech industry.
Prior to joining Actiance, Carol held VP Marketing positions at Fujitsu, Check Point Software Technologies, and Arcot Systems where she helped position the company for a successful acquisition by CA Technologies.

At CA Technologies, Carol was Vice President of Security Marketing, focused on product marketing, demand generation, and marketing metrics.

Carol graduated from Goucher College with a degree in Mathematics and did graduate work in Computer Science at Villanova University.
Herb Joiner
Vice President of Engineering
Herb Joiner has been contributing to the development of the Actiance portfolio since 2006, and he brings over 25 years of executive management and architecture engineering experience in the software industry to his role as Vice President of Engineering.

During Joiner’s career, his work has spanned the entire spectrum of the engineering development life-cycle, from R&D to O&M in both domestic and international environments.

Prior to Actiance, Joiner held senior executive management and architect positions in engineering with companies such as Voyence, Sniffer Technologies (Network Associates), i2 Technologies, E-Systems and Raytheon designing and implementing complex high-end systems and performed in various roles including architect and development management.

Joiner has six networking patents in his name with an additional five in submission with the US patent office. Joiner holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science from the University of Hawaii.
Deric Moilliet
Vice President, Strategic Accounts
An Actiance veteran of nearly a decade, Deric Moilliet currently leads the company’s strategic sales and systems engineering organizations and brings over 24 years of sales and information technology experience to Actiance.

Prior to Actiance, Deric served as Senior Vice President of Sales for Maplesoft and Vice President of Global Accounts for Genesys Conferencing, where he managed an international sales team in New York, London and Paris.

Moilliet also has held Vice President of Sales positions with several venture-backed start-ups and began his career as the first financial sales representative for Sun Microsystems and Sybase.

Moilliet has a Bachelor’s of Commerce from Queen’s University at Kingston and an MBA in Finance from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business.
David Oates
Vice President International
David joined Actiance with more than 25 years of sales and senior management experience in the software industry, leading and growing EMEA businesses.

David came from Alpha Corporation, where he was Vice President of Technology Services. Previously David was Vice President of EMEA for Tower Software, where he restructured and re-energized the EMEA operation and saw the organization through the successful acquisition by Hewlett Packard. Prior to this, he held a number of other senior positions, most notably CEO of The Distillery, a small Australian-based intelligence software company and also as VP International Operations for Primavera Systems, where he was responsible for all operations outside the Americas, more than doubling international revenues.
Sridhar Vutukuri
Vice President and Country Head, India
Sridhar Vutukuri is responsible for product development, operations, information technology, and engineering support services in Actiance's India location. He has 18 years of product development and services experience, having held numerous engineering management roles
across a variety of industries, including software, finance, banking, security, defense and aerospace.

Prior to joining Actiance, Vutukuri was most recently head of Tumbleweed Communications' subsidiary in India where he successfully built and established a key engineering division for the company from the ground up. Before Tumbleweed Vutukuri was Vice President of Engineering for CyberCash India Pvt. Ltd. In that role Vutukuri served as the head of India operations and was responsible for technical direction, R&D, recruitment and external company communications. For nearly 6 years, Vutukuri worked for Tata Consultancy Services, the largest IT consulting firm in India, managing high-end consulting engagements, offshore development projects and complex system development for Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Vutukuri holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SVU College of Engineering in Tirupati, India.
Scott Whitney
Vice President, Product Management
Whitney brings more than 15 years of operations, product management, and software leadership experience in the enterprise and consumer markets to his VP of Product Management position at Actiance.

In this role, Whitney leverages his product management expertise to translate customer and partner challenges into product requirements that advance the Actiance governance solutions for social businesses.

Prior to joining Actiance, Whitney led marketing and product management for on-premise email archive vendors, Iron Mountain and Mimosa Systems, as well as served at Symantec Corporation on the product management team of Enterprise Vault, an integrated content archive and eDiscovery software business.

Before joining Symantec, Whitney led the product management team at Verity, which produced market-leading enterprise search and classification technology. Prior to serving at Verity, he led the product management team at Inktomi where he managed Ultraseek, the industry’s first enterprise search product.
Eric Young
Vice President, Field Services
A veteran of Actiance, Eric has been with the company for more than 12 years. Now as Actiance's Vice President Field Services, Eric is responsible for the company's worldwide sales engineering and professional services groups that provide pre- and post-sales technical consulting and support for Actiance's award-winning products. Eric leverages more than eighteen years experience in assisting enterprises with the architecture, implementation and management of security and communication infrastructures in this position.
