George, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Actiance, brings more than 25 years of global enterprise and start-up sales leadership and operations experience in the technology sector.
Prior to Actiance, George was VP of Sales for the Americas for Avid Technology, where he ran a $260 million business and transformed the structure and strategy of the sales team and partner relations, resulting in the highest growth division in 2014. Before joining Avid, he served as VP of Sales at Crossbeam Systems, a data center security start-up. There, he drove a value-based sales methodology that consistently achieved double digit quarterly growth.
Starting in 2007, George led the Americas sales and partner organization at IBM’s InfoSphere segment, one of the most productive selling groups within IBM at $350 Million in annual revenue. Earlier, as Director of Sales at Ascential, a software group acquired by IBM, George’s strategic leadership grew revenue an average of 31% year over year for three consecutive years that led to a successful $1.1 billion acquisition by IBM. Prior to Ascential, he spent almost ten years at Cabletron Systems, where he held the Western VP of Sales position.
