Actiance Announces Compliance Integration for Cisco Spark

Increasing the productivity of teams is a top enterprise priority across every industry. Over the last decade, new global opportunities have caused enterprise workforces to become more geographically distributed. However, their efforts to collaborate have been confined by the limitations of email, desk phones, and centralized content management systems. This has given rise to a new generation of collaboration technologies that are built upon flexible, extensible, cloud-centric, and mobile-first infrastructure.

At the same time, operating at a global scale also creates increased complexity in managing evolving local and regional regulatory requirements that directly impact a firm’s obligation to capture and store business communications. For many firms, leveraging the power of new collaboration technologies is simply not possible without automated controls to ensure existing compliance and information security policies are enforced and meet regulatory mandates in every market in which they operate.

Given this requirement, we’re excited to announce a strategic partnership with Cisco, co-engineering for Cisco Spark, the next generation collaboration platform that integrates Unified Communications, team messaging, video, and innovative hardware to ensure that even the largest virtual teams can work together effortlessly and compliantly. We’re building a Spark-native compliance and archiving solution that will enable regulated firms to keep all communications safe, secure, and compliant – helping meet the most rigorous mandates of FINRA, SEC, IIROC, FCA, GDPR, and MiFID II.

Actiance is pleased to team with World Wide Technology (WWT), Cisco’s top lifecycle partner, in launching the compliance and archiving solution for Cisco Spark.

Empower Virtual Team Collaboration with Full Protection

Collaboration technologies like Cisco Spark that now include messaging, calling (voice), meetings (video), virtual whiteboards, bots, automated workflows, and extensible platforms are being widely adopted in every industry, including those that are highly regulated. Dimensional research suggests 98% of connected employees leverage automated tools to collaborate, 94% say collaboration technology is important, and 70% of employees will use collaboration tools even if security is ignored. This increasing level of need for collaboration shows the need to communicate with customers more timely, accurately, and effectively. However, without the ability to enforce compliance with the numerous regulations for communication retention, the use of these technologies leaves firms to risk, threat, and other significant penalties.

Actiance Vantage for Cisco Spark can help safeguard, ensure compliant use, provide insights, and solve regulatory needs for customers considering adopting Cisco Spark.

Compliant Collaboration Unleashes Teamwork

This partnership allows regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, and non-regulated industries that have corporate HR or brand policies to freely collaborate on Cisco Spark, unleashing productivity while ensuring Cisco Spark communications are captured and archived to enable advanced eDiscovery and Supervision capabilities. Cisco Spark’s exponential growth in many of the top Fortune 100 companies, coupled with Actiance’s leadership in communications compliance, archiving, and analytics will provide the most scalable, compliant and secure collaboration solution, including:

  • Capture with full context: Cisco Spark messages and files are captured in their native metadata, rich format to provide snapshot context for storage and archiving
  • Third-party content capture: All third-party content and links shared within Cisco Spark are captured and the site content is captured as a PDF in near real-time
  • Context-aware archiving: Actiance automatically and immutably archives Cisco Spark content with conversational context, including modified and delete activities in single snapshot view for the ease of future search, legal hold, retention, and eDiscovery
