PHILADELPHIA and BELMONT, Calif - June 17, 2009
- Nayatek, the developer of the next generation content
archiving platform, Datosphere, and FaceTime Communications, the
leading provider of solutions enabling the safe use of Web 2.0 and
unified communications in the enterprise, announced today they have
partnered to deliver a solution for comprehensive archiving,
e-Discovery and compliance for instant messaging and unified
communications.
The Nayatek solution, integrated with FaceTime's IMAuditor, sets
a new standard for content archiving of business communication.
Nayatek's' Datosphere is an integrated content archiving platform
built on a dynamic grid architecture providing comprehensive
archiving, storage management, e-Discovery, business continuity and
compliance functionality to ensure the security, integrity and
privacy of electronically stored information (ESI).The upcoming
launch of the Datosphere IM solution will be based on a deep level
of integration with FaceTime's IM Auditor solution which insures
security, management and compliance for unified communications -
from presence and instant messaging to conferencing and voice.
The integrated solution will ensure that all IM and unified
communications conversations, file transfers, and associated
metadata can be logged, archived, discovered and retained. The deep
level of integration between IM Auditor and Datosphere provides
clients with more robust e-Discovery options as Datosphere indexes
a richer set of metadata and IM transcript information than other
solutions. Clients benefit directly in e-Discovery or internal
investigation scenarios as they can more quickly ascertain the
context and appropriateness of electronically stored information to
the case at hand thus saving time, effort and money.
According to FaceTime's October 2008 study, The
Collaborative Internet: Usage Trends, Employee Attitudes and IT
Impacts, 51 percent of IT Managers said they could not reproduce IM
conversations in a timely manner. Thirty-eight percent reported
they have no such capabilities and 13 percent said they could do
it, but not in any practical time frame.
"Practicality is a key component of success with archiving and
retrieval of electronic communications," said Nick Sears, vice
president of EMEA for FaceTime Communications. "Nayatek's
integration of FaceTime's IMAuditor technology will greatly improve
its customers' ability to easily archive - and more importantly -
quickly and easily reproduce - IM and UC conversations in a timely
manner to meet compliance and eDiscovery requirements."
"Today, organizations are increasingly hyper-connected to their
clients, suppliers and partners through IM, social networking and
Unified Communications platforms such as Microsoft OCS and IBM
Sametime as they see it enhancing their competitive posture. In
addition to driving more IT complexity, the security, management
and legal and regulatory compliance implications are significant,"
said Scott Lehmann, senior vice president of Product Management of
Nayatek. "We chose to pursue a deeper level of integration with
FaceTime's marketing leading IMAuditor solution in order provide
customers with a secure, encrypted centralized archive for all of
their ESI, including IM and UC data that would allow them to easily
reduce the business, legal and regulatory risk associated with
these forms of business communication," Lehmann added.
