FaceTime Communications and SRA International, Inc. Partner to Deliver Integrated Solutions for Financial Services Regulatory Compliance

Partnership to Deliver Integration with FaceTime's IMAuditor instant messaging server and SRA's Assentor® Platform

FOSTER CITY, Calif., and FAIRFAX, Va., November 12, 2001 -- FaceTime Communications, the premier provider of instant messaging (IM) applications for business, and SRA International, Inc., an information technology firm that provides systems integration, consulting, and eBusiness and eGovernment services and solutions, today announced a strategic partnership. In this partnership, FaceTime has chosen SRA as its preferred provider for content scanning and archiving, and SRA has chosen FaceTime as its preferred provider of value-added solutions for public IM network access. Together, the two companies will bring instant messaging and content scanning solutions to the financial services industry to comply with federal regulations that require supervision, recording, and storage of electronic communications. "FaceTime's unique ability to offer financial services firms a server that provides interoperability with the public IM networks from AOL, MSN, and Yahoo!, combined with our new Assentor partnership, enables brokers and traders to continue using instant messaging for external communications without the risk of regulatory compliance exposure," said Glen Vondrick, President and CEO of FaceTime. "The strength of our combined solution provides our customers, like Thomas Weisel Partners, with the most comprehensive solution for auditing, archiving, and scanning both public IM network traffic and e-mail communications. Our customers can continue to use public IM networks to conduct time-sensitive business communications while ensuring all conversations are audited and available for scanning in conjunction with SRA's Assentor solution." "We are excited that two of the leading technology suppliers in the financial services market have teamed up to provide an integrated IM solution," said Robert Hahn, CIO of Thomas Weisel Partners. "This new technology differentiates us from other firms because our brokers can now use their familiar IM clients from AOL, MSN and Yahoo!, to communicate with their customers, and our IT staff can seamlessly support both IM and e-mail communications while ensuring that we are compliant with the appropriate SEC regulations." The partnership is further enhanced by SRA's Assentor solutions for communications security in the financial services industry. Assentor's capabilities include digital signature and e-mail encryption, content scanning, archiving, and retrieval. As part of the partnership, SRA has developed and plans to sell a new software product,Assentor IM Link. Assentor IM Link uses FaceTime's IMAuditor to audit IM content while Assentor IM Link scans, archives and retrieves IM. The result is a comprehensive e-mail and IM auditing package for the financial services industry. Assentor IM Link provides evidence of review and meets compliance regulations using a single interface for both e-mail and IM - a convenience compliance officers are sure to appreciate. "After gaining feedback from our customers, it became clear that FaceTime is the only company that can provide our customers with value-added IM solutions with authorized access to the public IM networks," said Emerson Thompson, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Assentor for SRA. "Many of our customers rely on the use of public IM networks to conduct their daily business. This partnership allows us to provide them with a comprehensive auditing, archiving, and scanning solution for all e-mail and IM communications."
